point-to-multipoint solutions in the unlicensed 5.8 GHz ISM
band. Delivering a throughput of 12 Mbps at distances up
to 75 km the Wi-LAN Ultima 3 offers the WISP a very

The Ultima 3 is available in a Short Range (up to 12km), Rapid
Deployment (up to 25km) and Extended Range product
configuration.
Reliable and Secure
The Wi-LAN Ultima 3 is built on a field proven MC-DSSS
technology that is inherently secure and reliable. The
multi-layer approach and proprietary user configurable
physical layer modulation make it virtually impossible for
eavesdropping. Additional security is available through the
use of VLANs, IP Filtering and RF Grouping.
Rapid and Flexible Deployment
Because the Wi-LAN Ultima 3 operates in the unlicensed 5.8
GHz ISM band, it can be deployed in minimal time � eliminating
the delays often associated with ordering leased lines or
installing a wired infrastructure. The rugged weatherproof
design is ideal for outdoor or indoor and eliminates the need
for bulky coax cables.
