The MT-354 and
MT-358 are intelligent Analog to GSM converters. The MT-354
and MT-358 are used
extensively around the world for analog VOIP gateway
termination. The MT-354 and MT-358 can hook directly to your VOIP
gateways analog FXS port and terminate to GSM cellular when
there are cost savings or lack of analog telephone lines.
The FXO ports can connect to the PSTN or Station ports on a
PBX.
It is not uncommon for a family or
business to spend 50% or more of their telephone call costs
on fixed line to cell calls. The MT-354 and 358 will interconnect
your cell (GSM) service with either your home or office PSTN
(analog) line, office PBX, or your VOIP device and enable
you to save on all your family or business member's cell
phones expenses by taking advantage of free cell to cell
calls offered by most cell service providers.
The MT-354 and 358 have a built-in cell modem (GSM dual or
Quad band) and
accepts standard SIM cards from GSM service providers
worldwide. You will need to purchase an additional SIM
card from your GSM service provider and install it in the
MT-354 and 358. The MT-354 and 358 then effectively becomes an additional
member of your cell group or network and with most GSM
service providers (Cingular, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc.) all your
cell phone calls to any other cell phones in the same
group/network are free. For example Cingular to Cingular
cell phone calls are all free regardless of time of day. So
in most cases the only charges you will incur by adding the
MT-354 and 358 to your cell group will be the monthly charge for the
new SIM card/number, which in most cases is less than
$10/mo.
The MT-354 and 358 are widely used
with VoIP equipment termination equipment that needs to
convert from their analog voice interfaces to the cellular
network.
