The MAX-Bridge is a low cost WiMAX CPE with all the MAC and
PHY features specified by the IEEE 802.16-2004 standard. It is
ideal for and rural customers and wireless internet service
providers who only require a simple bridge connection to a
WiMAX base station.
Advanced Non-Line-of-Sight
The Libra MAX Outdoor Subscriber Station uses WiMAX
technology to deliver high-speed nonline- of-sight (NLOS)
performance in the licensed 3.3 to 3.6 GHz range. Optimized
for outdoor environments, WiMAX offers superior range and
throughput to subscribers who are not in a direct line of
sight to the base station.
Carrier Class Network Management With Constellation NMS
installed in the NOC, operators can manage large quantities
of Libra MAX subscriber stations. Designed for the Libra MAX
platform, Constellation NMS is a carrier class tool for
network surveillance, monitoring and network configuration.
Rugged Outdoor Performance
The Libra MAX Outdoor Subscriber Station is packaged in a
ruggedized all-weather enclosure. EION Wireless has a
reputation for rugged outdoor radios; our products have been
deployed in the humidity of Amazon Rainforest and the
extreme cold of Northern Canada. Power is supplied to the
outdoor unit from an indoor power over Ethernet (PoE) module.
Software Upgradeable
MAX-Bridge is the base model Subscriber Station in the Libra
MAX portfolio. Using the web interface, the MAX-Bridge is
upgradeable to a MAX-Router. These add-on software upgrades
contain additional security and network intelligence upgrades
for professional and enterprise users.
