Description

The LAN/WAN boundary is a severe congestion point in today’s IP networks. The disparity between available WAN bandwidth and network loading on the LAN causes most end-to-end quality degradation to be concentrated at the access point between these networks. End-to-end quality for VoIP and video conferencing over IP is a game that is won or lost at these choke points. Best of class QoS, such as U4EA’s GoS (Guarantee of Service), is needed in the Business Gateway to ensure that mission-critical real-time applications function reliably and with high quality. While both voice and video are sensitive to delay, they have differing packet loss and bandwidth needs.
