Distributed Telephony products
bring together all of your previously incompatible phone
systems and gives you the power to integrate geographically
disparate Branch Offices, Call Centers, Teleworkers and Mobile
Workers through a unified, seamless, corporate telephony
network. Verso's business-quality distributed telephony
solutions allow organizations to extend the features and
applications of the Private Branch Exchange (PBX) or Key
Telephone System (KTS) to provide features like 4-digit
extension dialing, initiating conference calls, receptionist
screening or any other feature normally found exclusively on
office-based corporate phone systems; all without the high
costs normally associated with conversion to IP-PBX systems.
Distributed Telephony extends your PBX/KTS system
through your data network connection. A component at your main
PBX/KTS location and another at your remote location allows
communication via a managed IP connection such as a DSL, Cable
Modem, ISDN, T1 or other connection.
The key application feature is
that you can now use your full featured digital phone sets
that would normally only work when locally attached to a PBX.
When remote offices require communications with a PBX at some
central location, they are typically extended with either
analog phones or a completely new phone system. You can now
purchase your standard digital phones and deploy at remote
offices as though they were locally attached.
