MF-3 Type-3 Media Filter |

- MF-3 dual rate type-3
Media Filter is a miniature self-contained unit,
which enables the transmission of IEEE 802.5 Token
Ring signals over Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) or
Screened UTP (SUTP) cables.
- MF-3 contains a filter
which reduces the noise on UTP cables. In addition,
MF-3 limits the amount of radiated electrical energy
to comply with FCC and CE regulations.
- The unit provides
100/150
 impedance
matching between the Token Ring adapter card and the
UTP cable.
- The filter is provided
with a 6 ft. cable, terminated with an RJ-45 plug
for direct connection to the UTP wall-plate. The
cable is attached to the filter via an RJ-45
connection, allowing easy replacement if a longer
cable is required.
