HTU-E1L HDSL Termination
Unit |
|
| |
- The HTU-E1L
stand-alone termination unit uses HDSL technology to
extend the range of E1 signals up to 4.5 km over 24
AWG (0.5 mm), 4-wire copper cable.
- HTU-E1L eliminates the
need for repeaters or optical cable in the
"last mile" (local loop) or in a campus
network environment.
- Using advanced
equalization, adaptive-filtering, echo cancellation
technology and 2B1Q line coding, HTU-E1L compensates
for line impairments, bridge taps and mixed cabling.
High immunity to background noise enables
transmission of multiple HDSL lines on the same
physical cable.
- Setup, status, alarms
and diagnostics can be monitored and activated from
a Portable Control Unit (PCU) which is ordered
separately. Alternatively, management can be
performed from a central HTU-E1 unit, or from a
central SNMP management station via an LRS-12
central hub.
- A special option
(HTU-E1L/P) enables the unit to be remotely power
fed via the data transmission wires. For this
option, the HTU-E1L must work opposite an HTU-E1
card in the LRS-12 hub together with an LRS-PS-FEED
power supply (see separate data sheets).
- HTU-E1L is available
in either AC or DC powered versions. The unit can be
mounted in a standard 19" rack using special
hardware. One or two (side-by-side) HTU-E1L units
can be mounted per row.
