ACE-20-T1
ATM Multiplexer |
|
| |
- ACE-20-T1 is a branch
office solution for ATM-based enterprise
applications. It statistically multiplexes voice/TDM
and data (Ethernet, Frame Relay or ATM DXI) into a
T1 UNI ATM WAN link.
- ACE-20-T1 performs
circuit emulation using AAL1 to support Sub-T1
interfaces. This facilitates the connection of PBXs
or other channelized T1 devices.
- ACE-20-T1 dynamically
allocates bandwidth between voice and data, by
utilizing ATM Forum's DBCES standard. This feature
offers flexible bandwidth sharing between voice and
data.
- ACE-20-T1 offers two
modes of traffic shaping:
- Per VC traffic
shaping for improved QoS and utilization of the
ATM uplink
- Aggregate shaping
for rate limiting and DBCES feature enhancement.
- The two data ports
support translation of IP and IPX traffic to Frame
Relay and ATM (FRF.8), according to RFC 1490 and RFC
1483. In addition, Frame Relay traffic can be
transported over ATM (FRF.5).
- ACE-20-T1 offers
comprehensive diagnostics and statistics enabling
network control and fault localization. The unit
supports:
- Application layer
statistics
- ATM layer
statistics and control (OAM support)
- Physical layer
diagnostics (loopback tests, statistics).
- End-to-End QoS is
measured using F5 OAM cells, including AIS, RDI, LB,
CC and activation cells.
- ACE-20-T1 is
controlled via the front panel, the supervisory port
or an SNMP station. RADview management software is
also available to support large networks. The unit
supports ILMI (Interim Local Management Interface)
at the ATM-T1 port, and LMI (Local Management
Interface) at the ATM DXI I/O port.
- Selectable clock
source enables use of the internal clock, as well as
clocks originating from the network or from the
Sub-T1 port.
- ACE-20-T1 is a
compact, 1U high unit, suitable for mounting in
19" racks.
