Definition of Digital Cross Connects T1/E1 

Digital Cross Connects T1/E1:

This device provides the ability to take in multiple high speed digital lines (T1/E1) and provide switching at the DSO time slot level (64k). This allows control of what would normally be switched by a digital carrier (AT&T,Nynex,Bellsouth ..etc) and provide "on the fly" changes for dynamic traffic routing. These products can also provide rate and interface conversion.
