| ATLAS is the ADTRAN TotaL
Access System that provides an extensive range of wide
area networking solutions for both enterprise networks
and network service providers and opens up new
opportunities for effectively combining voice, data, and
video applications.
ATLAS is a multifunction
and flexible Integrated Access Device (IAD) designed to
match a variety of customer network equipment with a
number of carrier service offerings. This new
multifunction access device brings together into one
device the functions often found in many separate pieces
of equipment.
Nearly all medium to
large scale network operations include many single
function access devices to interconnect one type of
communications equipment to one type of network service.
With ATLAS, all the functionality of those single
function access devices is now incorporated into a
flexible platform for simplified voice, data, and video
applications over a unified network. ATLAS reduces the
amount of networking equipment needed and combines
previously separate traffic and circuits into shared
bandwidth.
Using a unique blend of
bandwidth management, circuit switching and packet
routing technologies bundled in the same platform, ATLAS
provides a large selection of interfaces and solutions
to mixed voice and data networks that result in more
efficient and economical use of wide area communications
circuits.
The ATLAS modular
architecture supports LAN routing, Frame Relay, ISDN
switching, and dynamic voice call processing using area
code and phone number dial plan switching.
Eight open slots in ATLAS
provide the modularity and flexibility to configure up
to 34 T1/PRI/DSX interfaces, T3 support including M13
multiplexing, up to 64 BRI U-interfaces, V.35 data
interfaces, RS-232 ports and V.34, and K56flex support.
With all this capacity,
you can see that the combinations for building and
deploying integrated voice, data, and video networks
have now become a bit easier.
Free up some space,
manage the network easier, reclaim underutilized
circuits, even eliminate some excess capacity and save
money every month with the new ATLAS Integrated Access
Device.
