ACTview
2000 is a powerful, fully featured SNMP network
management product that is designed to manage all ACT
networking products. As a member of the ACTview NMS
product family, ACTview 2000 is designed to run in the
HP™ OpenView™ environment for Windows '95/NT.
As
multimedia becomes more prevalent and networking becomes
more complex, it becomes paramount to unify the
management of networks that handle multiple types of
traffic. ACTview 2000 is designed to manage ACT
networking products, which integrate voice and data over
a Frame Relay network. As such, the user has the ability
to man-age all aspects of the network including
monitoring voice and data traffic, configuring nodes and
expansion cards, downloading new versions of software,
monitoring the health of the network through traps and
alarms and much more.
Through
the use of the industry standard HP OpenView, the user
also has the option of unifying the management across
multivendor platforms. Thus, the combination of ACTview
2000 and HP OpenView becomes a component that leads to a
cohesive and consolidated management environment.
PRODUCT FEATURES
Standards
Based
ACTview
2000 is designed as an SNMP manager and uses the
industry standard HP OpenView for Windows 95/NT as the
NMS Platform. The combination of SNMP and HP OpenView
gives the user the ability to manage virtually any other
platform from a single network management station,
resulting in the consolidation of management
capabilities and the reduction of costs associated with
multiple NMS platforms.
Feature-Rich
NMS
ACTview
2000 is a feature rich NMS providing the ability to
configure, download, monitor WAN, LAN and voice traffic,
monitor network health through traps and alarms, and
much more. ACTview 2000 also maintains configuration
information in a database which gives the user the
ability to design and configure components in the
network off-line, and download the information when
needed. Furthermore, ACTview 2000 generates many reports
which identify inventory, configuration information and
which provide voice call accounting information. These
reports are exportable into several different formats
that can be integrated with other reporting tools.
Designed
to Manage
All
ACT Products
ACTview
2000 is designed to manage all ACT products giving a
consistent look and feel across all product lines. This
results in reduced training and learning curve.
Call
Accounting
ACTview
2000 collects call accounting information and maintains
it in a database. This information can be exported into
many different formats for use with call accounting and
billing applications. Information about the source,
destination, date, time and duration of each call and
much more is maintained in this database.
Scaleable
ACTview
2000 comes in three versions which are priced to be
scaleable for your particular needs. Included is a
version for up to 50 nodes, up to 100 nodes and an
unlimited version. Full functionality is available in
